yes i have owned this kitchen-aid dishwasher for years and has been down for a while? the question i have is it is stuck on rinse cycle, tried to hit cancel button nothing happens, and makes a humming noise?

Hi,

Possibly something is jammed in your motor/pump impeller or your motor has gone out.

This model is very old, and they don't make the motor/pump assembly anymore for it.

yes, thank you for the reply, it seems that no water is flowing to the machine,im going to check the valve that supplies that solenoid water valve. where is this solenoid valve located at? and do you have a diagram of this model? are these valve still available to purchase?

Oh, ok, I thought you meant the motor was humming.

Its so old I can't even find a parts diagram for it.

The water inlet valves for dishwasher are usually located under the dishwasher on the front left or right side down below your door, you should see a lower access panel you can remove.

Here's the water inlet valve for your model:
Dishwasher water inlet valve, most Kitchen Aid D/Ws, replaces old 2 coil valves and others

I just posted the valve above, do you not see it?
