Default KitchenAid KUDS01DL Noisy Motor

My KitchenAid KUDS01DL makes a very loud sound, it sounds like the motor is having a problem working. Sort of a grinding or the sound as if it is about to burn up because it cant move. It happens multiple times throughout the wash cycle, each time it is switching to a new cycle. I know there is nothing stuck in the dishwasher, I took it apart and do not see anything? Any suggestions?

Hi,

There should be 2 more letters and a number after the "L" at the end of your model#. Your model# tag is located inside the door, on the left or right side tub frame.

Thanks,

Ok, if you took the top of the pump off from inside your dishwasher and nothing was jammed/stuck in your chopper screen area, then its your motor thats bad.

You can either get the motor or the sump assembly that includes the motor already installed, saves time but cost a bit more.

Here's the cheapest price I found on your wash motor assembly:
Manufacturer's Number: 8534942

8534942

Here's the sump/wash motor assembly for your model:
Manufacturer's Number: 8535150

8535150
