Default Kitchen Aid Dud

I have a Kichen Aid KUDS24SEBL4 dishwasher. It is dead and does not run or have any lights on the panel. I had this same problem last year and they replaced the thermal fuse.
There is water in the bottom of the tank also that does not drain, due to power shut down.
How do I drain this machine. I think I can change the fuse, found several threads to this issue already.

Hi,

Its likely your thermal fuse is bad.

You can ohm it for continuity with an ohm meter to see if it has no continuity. Thats what I always do.

Do you know if the tech. installed the new wires that came with it? If they didn't then thats the reason its blown again.

The wires must be replaced with it that it comes with.

Jake:
I do not know if he replaced the wire. He replaced the fuse and it operated for one day and then blew again. He replaced the fuse the second time and it has worked for about a year.
I have ordered the repair manual for the unit. How do I drain the sitting water in the bottom?

You can use a WET/DRY VAC or wait till the new fuse to come.
