KitchenAid dishwasher stuck on "child lock"
Hello, my KitchenAid dishwasher's (KUDC25CHSS1) child lock light stays on (blinking at time or stays on continuously). Even pressing start (and) cancel, nothing happens.
The child lock light turns off and tried to start itself (twice), but it would not finish the whole cycle (water at the bottom) I tried to unplug the unit and replug it back (that doesn't help). The unit is 10 years old and has worked without any problem for all this time.

The problem is your control panel touchpad assembly is bad, seen this happen numerous times.
Here's the control panel touchpad assembly for your model you can order:
Manufacturer's Number: 9744120

Its very expensive at $360, since your dishwasher is 10 years old, it would make more sense to invest in a new dishwasher, as other parts are wearing as well.
The average life of dishwashers now is only 8-12 years.
