Default [FIXED] Kitcchenaid KUDP01FL dishwasher not raining . . .

Model Number: KUDP01FL
Brand: KitchenAid
Age: 5 - 10 years

Already checked the drain line to the gap valve above the sink and the line from there to the disposer. Still not draining. Any ideas?

Default KUDP01FL not draining . . .

I checked after a cycle was complete and the water is already full in the bottom of the dishwasher. So, it sounds like it is not that the water is draining back into the dishwasher overnight or anything like that . . .

So, what does this mean?

Hi,

Please double check your model#, there should be more letters/numbers.

Here's the results I get:
KUDP01FLBL0 UNDERCOUNTER DISHWASHER
KUDP01FLBL1 DISHWASHER
KUDP01FLBL2 UNDERCOUNTER DISHWASHER
KUDP01FLBL3 DISHWASHER
KUDP01FLBL5 UNDERCOUNTER DISHWASHER
KUDP01FLBL6 UNDERCOUNTER DISHWASHER
KUDP01FLBT0 UNDERCOUNTER DISHWASHER
KUDP01FLBT1 DISHWASHER
KUDP01FLBT2 UNDERCOUNTER DISHWASHER
KUDP01FLBT3 DISHWASHER
KUDP01FLBT5 UNDERCOUNTER DISHWASHER
KUDP01FLBT6 UNDERCOUNTER DISHWASHER
KUDP01FLSS0 UNDERCOUNTER DISHWASHER
KUDP01FLSS1 DISHWASHER
KUDP01FLSS2 UNDERCOUNTER DISHWASHER
KUDP01FLSS3 DISHWASHER
KUDP01FLSS5 UNDERCOUNTER DISHWASHER
KUDP01FLSS6 UNDERCOUNTER DISHWASHER
KUDP01FLWH0 UNDERCOUNTER DISHWASHER
KUDP01FLWH1 DISHWASHER
KUDP01FLWH2 UNDERCOUNTER DISHWASHER
KUDP01FLWH3 DISHWASHER
KUDP01FLWH5 UNDERCOUNTER DISHWASHER
KUDP01FLWH6 UNDERCOUNTER DISHWASHER

So if you press the cancel/drain button after the cycle is complete, it drains fine? Then if you wait awhile without using it, the tub has water in it again?

Default KUDP01FLSS0 not draining . . .

Sorry, it is KUDP01FLSS0. I read the model off the manual front cover, but didn't realize there was more to it. So, I checked the model/serial number tag.

Also, after your question about "cancel / drain" and if it was empty and filling back up. I pressed the cancel button several times. I listened and could hear water running through the air gap. I had to do it several times to get all the water pumped out. It is now emptied.

So, I guess that means a couple days ago, when I said there was water in the tub still, I think it was because there was water in the tub when I started the cycle, and it did not have enough time to drain completely. Does that make sense?

If I check it in the morning, and there is water in the pan again, does that mean the water/fill valve (or whatever the proper name is) is bad?

Thanks for the help!

Yes, that would mean your fill valve would be bad.

Ahh, yes, the good ole air gap, that would likely be the problem, bypass the air gap and see if it drains quickly.

Those air gaps can clog over time.

Default Air Gap WAS the culprit . . .

Thanks Jake. Bought a new air gap for $4.95. Replaced it and it's working great now.

You rock!
