Rinse Light Flashes
I have a stainless steel model KitchenAid KUDS01DL.
Today I noticed that the "rinse" light on the control panel flashes and no other control panel buttons worked. I unplugged the unit in hopes of resetting, but this did not clear the problem. When plugging back in the panel stays dead and no light blinks but after a while the rinse light begins blinking again.
Interestingly, if I repeatedly press the drain button on the front it will eventually kick in and start the drain, but it takes repeated button presses for that to happen and still no other buttons on the panel (including the start button) work no matter how many times pressed.
I am not sure if this is the control panel or the control board. I am confused as to what component needs to be replaced.
Thanks for any help!

As an update. I peeled back the touch pad and also seated the ribbon cable again. Now the dishwasher start and drain buttons work at first press, however, the touch pad itself is totally dead with no lights working and no flashing rinse light either.
Hope this adds something to the equation...

Please double check your model#, your missing some digits at the end. The model# tag should be inside the dishwasher on the top or side tub frame.
Yes, its your control panel thats bad, I will link you to the correct part once you post your complete model#.

Jake,
Thanks very much for the reply. Sorry about the truncated model number. I took it off of the manual which I realize now is probably used for a bunch of models...
From inside the dishwasher: KUDS01DLSS0
Thanks again!

Thanks, Jake. I suppose there is no way to just replace to touch pad? I put a multimeter on the ribbon cable that runs to the touch pad and there does seem to be power there. So the issue appears to be just the touch pad itself. You hate to replace the entire apparatus for $200 when all you need is the pad....
Thanks.

Unfortunately, you have to replace the complete control panel.
