Won't start or drain
Control panel lights work. When I push Start the proper lights come on under the 'Cycle Monitor' and 'Wash Selections' but nothing else happens.
While I was at work today my wife tried to start it and apparently something worked because there is now water in the bottom (full) and she said the heat element seemed to have worked (dryer or hot water?) but I can not replicate this or get the water to drain.
Hitting 'Cancel' will activate the proper control panel light and all other control panel lights go out but nothing happens with the water in the dishwasher.
Have removed the control panel and lower panel to the dishwaher. No obvious loose wires or other things out of order. Found the tech sheet and have run a diagnostic sequence. Control panel lights seem to work properly but nothing wlse happens.
Wondering what to do next?

For some reason the motor is not running when it is supposed to. That could be a motor problem or a control board problem most likely.
Not sure of your ability to use a multi-meter so I will give you a check that requires just a keen ear. Take off the panel at the bottom of the dishwasher. Start the dishwasher as you normally do. After about a minute hit the cancel button then listen carefully for about a minute, for any sounds coming from the motor under the dishwasher. Do you hear any humming sounds from the motor?

Yes, sounds like the control board is the culprit.
Here's the control board for your model you can order here:
Manufacturer's Number: 8051136

8051136
To replace the control board:
You should have like about 6 screws from the inside door liner that you remove to take the control panel off, you have to hold the door frame down, so it doesn't pop-up on you while your changing it.
You can probably get something like a 2x4 to set on the door frame to keep it down while you change it.
