KitchenAid frost and ice build up inside ice dispenser
I have a KitchenAid KSSS36DB about 10 years old. In the past 2 years, there has been progressively worsening frost and ice build up in the freezer around the ice dispensing mechanism. The ice continues to work but because there is constant freeezing up of the dispenser ( and subsequent dripping in the freezer) the dispenser cannot turn the coil to dispense the ice. Have taken out the ice bin and defrosted several times to no avail. Can anyone offer a remedy?

Its possible you have a small leak in the ice dispenser door seal causing condensation to form up in that area.
This link should help:
