My daughter recently moved into a house that has a Kitchenaid Superba 30" Electric Built-in Double Oven (KEBC207KBT0). The top oven works fine, but the bottom oven does not. I'm at step 1 of troubleshooting this problem and I'm looking for suggestions on how to locate the cause of the problem. I.E. what tests can I perform to isolate the problem? (e.g. thermostat, switches, etc.) Thank you for any assistance with this problem.
Yes, now I can provide more info -- I finally arrived at my daughters house and see the problem for myself.
When I turn the bottom oven on bake, the display says it is on and the time it started and you can hear it running, but it does not get hot... or even warm. I tried the same thing with broil and got the same result.
Could that be a thermostat problem or something to do with the elements? If it is an element problem it seem strange that both would be affected. So I suspect there is probably an underlying issue I'm not aware of.
Thank you for your reply. You've assisted me in the past so I have faith you can do it again.
I believe I have this same double oven in black. It was used and put into my house but is missing the model number off the sticker on the inside of the door. It is missing the trim piece at the bottom of the lower oven where it overlaps onto the front of the cabinet where it is installed. Can you direct me to the right piece so I can order? Thanks!
Jake my son's 30" double oven kitchen aide superba just stopped. No power at all. Breaker did not trip. Everything else in the kitchen working. Oven is probably 12- 13 years old. Do you think this is a fuse problem or what?
