Default Kitchenaid Icemaker won't harvest

I've had a problem for months where my icemaker was overfilling causing the cubes to come out in solid blocks and there was also a little overflow as well. The issues were not enough of a bother to actually take the time to get things right. Yesterday I noticed my case was very hot too the touch and after a little investigating I determined that the compressor fan was bad. Since I was going to replace the fan and clean out the dust from underneath I tackled the icemaker issues as well. And here my problem begins.

After making a slight adjustment to the fill screw and getting things back together my icemaker filled to the perfect level and then harvested successfully when the ice cubes were ready. The icemaker then refilled once again, but this time no harvesting. It even appeared as though the icemaker has filled it up again without the previous cubes being harvested. When the button is held closed, the LED goes to a steady red. From what I understand that would indicate that the sensors are fine. The tabs that harvest the cubes are in the 1-2 o'clock position that I understand that they should be in. I have removed and reinstalled the icemaker one time but have not fixed the problem. Any ideas?

The model number is KSRB22FKSS02.

Hi,

The first thing i would do is check to make sure the Ice Maker is filling up completely with water when it fills, all of the cube slots should have water in them.
If that checks ok, then its possible you have a bad ice maker module.

Here is the one for your model if you need to buy it:
Icemaker control module and motor assembly
