Kithchen superba Ice Maker

I got this fridge off a friend for my shop. it is like brand new. doesnt seem like he even put anything in it. he said that he never hooked up the water line to it to use the water dispenser or ice machine. I hooked that all up and the water dispenser works great, but it doesnt seem to want to push water up the line that goes the the ice maker. do they only send water up when they want to make ice or do they keep a constant pressure? any suggestions on what could be wrong?

Hi Jake,
What happens is when the ice maker calls for water the water inlet valve solenoid opens up and sends water up that water line tube to the ice maker.
You can do the test/cheater cord test at the water inlet valve to check to make sure water is going up to the ice maker, read here:

thanks the new part works. only 45mins and its already spitting out ice.
