KSRX25FNST01 Diffuser Problem?
I appear to have an air flow problem in the refrigerator section of this late model side by side refrigerator/freezer. The freezer section is cold and the icemaker works fine. The refrigerator section is not cold enough even with the temp control at max. There is very little cold air coming out of the diffuser with the evaporator fan running. The diffuser makes a constant whirling/clicking sound like it is trying to open. The diffuser is controlled by a card in the control panel so it could also be the problem but from reading here it seems that the diffuser is the more common problem. Should I change the diffuser???
Another problem is that the door on the icemaker chute is not closing completely after dispensing ice. The warm air causes ice in the bin to melt and the water re-freezes and blocks up the chute between the bin and door. It can be closed with a finger but for now I have it taped off and we get ice from the bin but have to open the freezer section a lot. In fact the refrigerator problem started since we have been opening the freezer a lot.....hmmmmmm! But the refrigerator is not cold even when the freezer has not been opened for hours.
I believe the problem with the chute door is the spring or the delay damper mechanism. But my problem is removing the plastic cover/bezel over the ice/water dispensers on the front of the freezer door. Does it simply pry off or are there clips or screws that need to be remorve from inside the door?? I do not want to break anything.
Any suggestions or advise are welcome and appreciated.
Thanks,
Kermit

Hi,
Yes, you will need a new diffuser, you can order it here:
DIFFUSER
The front dispenser frame assembly just pops off, look underneath the bottom of the lower dispenser frame, you will see 2 small slots, you then use a screwdriver to pop it off.
You can order this ice dispenser door kit here:
