Unhappy Energy Saver Dry

Our Superba (model KUDS01DJSS0) has an energy saver dry feature that we have used extensively in the past. It no longer appears to be working (panel light doesn't come on when pressed and small plastic items melt if placed on the bottom rack).
I'm looking for a suggestion on where to start troubleshooting or what part may need to be replaced.

You would need to test the heating/energy saver circuit with a volt/ohm meter to see what part is bad.
