Default Tolerance of Temp in oven

Can someone tell me what the tolerance of the oven temp should be say at 350 degrees. I placed a thermocouple attached to a Craftsman DVM with tempurature sensing and I recorded 355 at the high end and 316 at the low end. Should it swing this much. My calibration is set at -30 degrees. The thermcouple(tc) was placed in the direct middle of the oven and the tc has a tolerance of 2.5% at 350. Thanks

    Hi,

Temps mentioned is a little low for a 350ºF setting....JMO!

A temp swing of 50º is normal....EG: set for 350, heats up to 375 and shuts off, cools to 325 and comes back on. This would give us an average/mean temp of 350º.
