Question Kitchenaid kebs208dss10 double oven trouble

Cleaned the oven yesterday. 1st oven seemingly went fine (bottom). Cleaned top oven. It gave an error 1 hr before the end of cycle (EO F5). Cleared the error message. After giving the oven a try:

Bottom oven will not heat - have tried the broiler, bake and convection. I can hear the fan - but nothing heats. Seems unlikely that all 3 elements blew at one time - what's most probable?

Top oven: Latch assembly will not fully move back into position - so it will not free the door. When looking at the problem manually - the latch is sluggish - and does not make the last 1/8 of the opening rapidly (causing the problem). Does this mean a new latch assembly? or is there another remedy?

I replaced the hinge assembly today also on both doors. That's the 2nd set of hinges in 6 years - and I only cook about 1x per week.

Thanks, ann

Hi,

Yes that error code means your door latch assembly is bad, you will need a new one, you can order it here:
