Default Would you buy another Kitchen Aid Refrigerator?

I am in the market for a new refrigerator. A friend recommended a Kitchen Aid brand.

Among specific brands, Whirlpool and Kenmore side-by-side refrigerators are more reliable than Frigidaire, Maytag, Jenn-Air and Amana side-by-sides.
Would you buy another one? If not, what brand would you get?

Default a word of caution

unfortunately whirlpool recently bought maytag, which owns magic chef, amana, admiral, and jenn-air. whirlpool also makes almost every kenmore out there and yes they own kitchenaide too. your non whirlpool choises are fridgidaire, samsung, sub zero, Fischer Paykel, or a commercial grade refrigerator.

I would not recomend samsung for personal reasons that i won't go into. but if you like what you see, then by all means go for it.

Whatever you decide, you would be wise to get the extended warranty on it, most manufacturers dropped the warranty period on all products (not just fridges) to 1 year parts and labor on anything sold after 1/1/06, check with your sales associate to confirm this and get the extended warranty

Good Luck
