Angry Hate Maytag 7600 series

I purchased a Maytag 7600 series 2/2004 and have had so many repairs/breakdowns that we now have to carry a service warranty on it d/t its many, MANY problems. Does anyone else feel this way?

The problems encountered are water intake hose broke x4,
door lock x2, motor and bearings x1 and now the whole electrical component d/t non functioning completely. It is very noisy, loud and leave horrendous gritty/sandy texture type residue. I do live in a hard water area, but this residue is not from the hard water (I understand about the white scale etc.)

I wrote to Maytag demanding something to compensate me. I am looking for a new dishwasher. Any ideas/brands. We need to stay around $550.

Thanks
MRW

The Kenmore made by Whirlpool(model# starting with 665) is reliable and the Whirlpool brand itself is as well.
