My dryer stopped drying on the normal dry cycle - spins fine just no heat. I turn the nob further to the cycle with cool down and it drys fine (albeit a slower dry time) any ideas?

Your right I did have an error in that Model number, it should be: MDE3000AZW (z and 2 look somewhat the same when reading from a distance upside down ;-)
I also openned the console and examined the "dial assembly" it showed significant corrosion on on of the four contacts - I filed (gently) both contacts and it seems to have fixed the problem - For Now. That part had these various numbers on it: Model M460-G, Maytag 6 3097270, V13-94990 8280A4 - I'm guessing this will have to be replaced sometime down the way. |
