Hey all,

I'm dealing with the same issue. I have ordered the housing (#20) from RepairClinic. What's the trick for unplugging the auger motor so I can remove the housing and install the auger in the new housing. Looks like there is a tab on the side but it doesn't seem to release when I push it in and pull.

Sorry for such a dumb noob question.

Thanks,

Erik

Hi Erik,

That tab should release, keep trying, some can be hard to release, use more force.

Another noob question. How do you hold the auger motor shaft to get the U unscrewed? I tried a needlenose vice grip and it's slipping. I just want to be sure I don't destroy the motor.

Thanks,

E

I use channel locks to hold it, It may be reverse thread on this model, so try that as well.

Did you get it off? Is it a reverse thread?
