Default Maytag Neptune Gas Dryer

We have a Neptune Gas Dryer that will not turn on. The touch panel lights up and the display is there. But when you push start it will not turn on, but once a day. Then it sits there pinging all day and night long, saying the load is dry. I just got the darn panel to change to the lowest sound setting, but it's been three months of pinging. We tried unplugging the
dryer to reset the board, sort of like rebooting a computer, but that has not worked either.
Any help would be great.

Hi Mewilke,

Whats the model# of your dryer? Its located inside the door, or on the very top of the console.

Sounds like the control board is malfunctioning.

Thanks,

Whats the serial# of your dryer?

You have a 2 yr. parts warranty on your dryer.

That control board is extremely expensive, so it would be to your advantage to use the warranty.

You can contact Maytag here:

Default Thankyou

Thank you Jake,
I will look into the serial number and the warrenty, I was unaware it was a two year deal. I am at work right now, but will forward the thread to my

Thank you again for your time and expertise.

Yes, 2 yrs. warranty on parts only. You just pay the labor to have it installed.
