Default Oven won't heat all the way up

My Maytag Jenn-Air electric oven doesn't heat up very much. The actual temperature inside the oven feels like what the control panel says it is. For example, if I ask it to preheat to 350 degrees, I'll come back 45 minutes later and it might be at 165 and I open the oven and it only feels like 165. It started doing this heating up super super slowly and then one day the bake element literally burnt out in a section. I replaced the bake element and the oven is still behaving the same way - not heating up very much nor very quickly. It keeps making a clicking sound too during the heating process.

The model number is: SVE47600W. I don't know how old it is. It came with the house we bought about a year and a half ago. The oven has worked fine this whole time until now. Thanks for any advice anyone has to give!

Hi,

Thats odd, the new bake element should have fixed it.

You'll likely need to pull your range out then take off the back access panel and test for 240 volts with the volt meter probes on the 2 bake element terminals with the oven on.

If your not getting 240 volts then the electronic clock control board is bad.

Here's the one for your model, in case you need to order it:
Part Number: AP367441 - Manufacturer's Number: 71001799

You might also check your circuit breakers. When the bake element went out it might have tripped half the breaker and the range is only getting 110VAC. Are the surface elements working ok?

These maytag ovens often have oven control problems after the bake elements burn up.

I would guess that every one in ten that I have seen with a bad bake element I also end up replacing the oven control/clock too.

Our new electronic clock control board just arrived and we installed it and we are still not receiving any voltage to the bake element. Any other suggestions?

Something is very strange, you should be getting 240 volts to your element. You have no thermal fuse in your model, so I'm

Did you read the voltage coming into the range terminal block in the back with a volt meter, where your power cord hooks up to the range?
