Default Gemini MER6769BAW Error Code F1-8

Yesterday our Gemini flashed the F1-8 error code. I read that this code means the panel has shorted or may have got wet from steam. My wife said the code displayed right after she put water that was in a hot pan on the burner. This made me think that the panel needs time to dry. I took the control panel apart yesterday and didn't find anything wet or damp. I put it back together and today it's still throwing the code. The only thing that works are the burners. The panel just randomly beeps non stop and only displays the clock. None of the buttons keypad work.

I orderd a new panel from appliance blog today. I was just wondering if there is anything else I could look for to fix this before the panel arrives?

Hi Mark,

Yes, the control panel you ordered should fix it.

No other fix will be able to fix it that I know of till you get your new control panel, sorry.

Jake
