Default Magic Chef Range

A friend has a Magic Chef model #CER1360AWW range. Her bake element burned out, The whole front of it burned. She had someone replace the element & now it will not heat. I checked voltage to the element with the thermostat on. I don't get 240 volts to the element. The indicator light comes on & the stat clicks when you cut it on, but no 240. I get 120 volts on each leg. There is 240 volts at the terminal block. It has the manual stat & digital clock & timer. Does she have a bad stat or timer/clock? Thanks.

Hi shadowrider,

Now you have 240 volts across both 120 volt legs at the range terminal block?

If so, then I'd say your electronic clock control board is bad.

They make 2 different ones for this model, please post the serial# of the range to get you the correct one.

Jake

Jake, I do have 240 at the terminal block. Only 120 volts at the bake unit with stat on. I'll get a serial & post it asap. Thanks.
