Default MSD2756AE not starting on it's own

I have a Maytag MSD2756AE a few days ago I found the fridge side was warm and the freezer side was defrosting. Nothing was running, no noise, nothing. I moved the freezer temp control to off for about 10 minutes then back on and it fired right up and everything seemed normal until the next morning. It seems once it reaches tempature and shuts off it will not restart by it's self. I have to manually turn the freezer temp to the off position for a few minutes then back on and it runs fine again until it shuts off. Any help would be great!!

Hi,

Sounds like your temperature control thermostat is bad.

Here's the one for your model you can order:
Manufacturer part number 61005651 is RepairClinic item number 1005345
61005651

Here's the repair manual for your model:
http://www.servicematters.com/maytag...s/16010154.pdf
It tells you how to change it starting on Page 2-9

Jake, you & your site kick A$$. Quick answer to my post, link to the correct part & a PDF repair manual. What more could I ask for. This is the 2nd fix on this Fridge your site helped me with. The first was back in June, I was able to fix it just by reading other posts. It was the Adaptive Defrost Control Board , that seems to be a big issue. Anyway thanks again and you'll be sure to see a donation from me!!
