Default Maytag MDB7751AWW Strange Noise...HELP!

I've got the Maytag Quiet Series 200 dishwasher. Just yesterday, we started a cycle and not too long into the cycle, a strange noise comes from the washer (as if the electric motor is hung up or something...). I'll try and get a video of the problem for you to see.

Thanks for the help!

Hi,

Check the impeller#6 and the chopper blade#8 here:

Here's the chopper seal kit assembly#9(includes#8) for your model, in case you need to order it:
Manufacturer part#99003341 is RepairClinic item#1156683
99003341

Here's the impeller:
Manufacturer part number 99002659 is RepairClinic item number 1011977
99002659

If those check good, then its likely your wash motor thats bad.

Here's the wash motor kit:
Manufacturer part number 99003436 is RepairClinic item number 1189680
99003436

Jake,

Turns out my wife broke one of the plastic parts in the upper rack a few days ago. This little half a fingernail sized bit of plastic was down in the chopper blade making the noise!!

Yes, you are definitely the man
Yes, I already cancelled my appliance repairman on Friday, and
Yes, I'm throwing some cash your direction through the tip jar

I am back up and running with no cash outta my pocket!

Good job hunt finding that in the chopper blade.
