Exclamation Maytag Neptune MAH5500BWW won't spin

Hi, I know this has been discussed before but I just wanted to have a confirmation that what I've read was correct.

My Maytag Neptune (model MAH5500BWW) does not spin. Everything looks good, it powers up, will do everthing else but it won't spin. Sometimes it takes around 60 sec for it to unlock the door after "not spinning".

I think I should order motor / control board, am I right?

    Serial : 71780526ZK

Yes, thats what you would need.

Does it drain the water first before it tries to spin?

Here's the one for your model:
    Manufacturer part#12002039 is RepairClinic item#949491

Check your owners manual, some of these models have a 5-10 year parts warranty on that motor.

    Thanks for your fast reply!

No, it does not. Actually, all it does is fill with water then I can hear an humming noice (like a motor trying to start) every ~15 sec that lasts for ~5 sec.

I don't know if that gives you any hint but this is probably a canadian model since I'm in Canada. I've already contacted repairclinic.com where you seem to redirect clients to and they do not ship to Canada, any ideas?

    Thanks

Ok, then you'll need to get that part locally at an appliance parts store in your area.

Here's a link to an appliance parts store in your area:
