Default Rollers and Pulley Cleaning

Maytag model LDE7304ADE
I hear a squeek and I opened the dryer up and saw that the rear roller wasnt spinning freely and the noise came from there. Two or more months a go I olied this shaft and the squeek went away and now it returned. I replaced the right roller and left the the spindle alone.
The left rear roller didnt spin as well and I replaced its spindle and left the same old roller on it. It spun much better now.
Question: previous threads say not to oil or grease these rollers because it may attract dirt and cause the roller or soindle to wear out. Is this true ?
Can I also clean the bottom idler pully after I remove it from its spindle ? Can I oil it ?
