Sticking Gas Control Valve
Hello!
Our Maytag MGR5729ADQ gas range takes 15 minutes or better to preheat. The bar igniter glows and there is a slight whistle noise as the oven tries to light. If I give the gas control valve a rap with the screwdriver handle it pops open and the oven lights perfectly. Is the gas control valve or the bar igniter the culprit? Thanks. Todd

I received the new igniter the day after I ordered it. I put the new igniter in and the oven works again! Thanks. Todd
