Default MayTag Precision Touch Control 700 Electric Smooth Top Control Panel

I have a MayTag Precision Touch Control 700 Electric Smooth Top and it is 4 years old. The Control Panel Display is displaying all options and characters. I have tried tripping the circuit breaker to see if this would reset the display and that did not work.

The stove top and range appear to work but it does not appear I have any control over the temp. The '+ More' & '- Less' buttons do not audibly respond when I press them, after pressing the 'Bake' button. Previously when the oven worked it would make an audibly sound when changing the temp. I hearing the normal clicking sounds as the oven starts to heat up. Any suggestion or ideas for getting it going?

Thanks,

Hi,

Whats the model# of your Maytag? Its usually located on the top console, or on the very bottom after you pull out the storage drawer or access panel in the front.

Sounds like you have a bad control board or control keypad.

Check your owners manual warranty, some models have up to a 5 yr. parts warranty on the electronics.

Default Reply: Precision Touch Control 700 Electric Smooth Top Control Panel

Hi Jake,
Thanks for the tip on where to find the Model & Serial #s. I checked the owners manual. If I am reading it correctly, it list only 2 parts with the 5 yr. warranty. The parts are Glass-Ceramic Cooktop & Electric Heating Elements.

The model number is : MER5775QAS

&

The serial number is : 15298744EN

I was thinking that it might be some kind of control board but I was not sure. Do you know what part numbers for the control board or the keypad might be?

Thanks,

Thanks,

Ok, on your model, the electronic clock control board and keypad are one part combined.

Here's the electronic clock control board assembly for your model you can order:
