Question Maytag Refrigerator Model MSD2756DEB jams in the Ice Chute

The ice cubes jam in the ice chute because the cubes have side tabs sticking out at one end. This is due to too much water filling the tray [this happened one time under warranty - the repairman adjusted the water fill level].

Where is the adjustment? It's not obvious to me without disassembling the entire mechanism.

I hate to be caught in the classic case of a $125 service call: $5 for turning the screw, $120 for knowing what screw to turn...

Hi jeff,

Thanks for the info...

No wonder the ice cubes have been growing - the sensitivity of the adjustment is 20cc per 1/2 turn! I need to decrease the volume about 5 cc or 1/8 turn.

If I think about it, the intermittant jamming problem may correlate to filter changes which affect water flow rate.

I'll tweak it this morning and let you know the results in a day or so.

Thanks,
JVB
