Default Jenn-Air

I have a model SCE30600W Jenn-Air slide in that needs an oven sensor, I have one out of a whirlpool that has the following numbers on it 3148440, also 5710N5 and HCA0991. Will this sensor work in the Jenn-Air? Also do you have a owners manual?

Hi Tag,

No, that one won't work on this Jenn-Air model.

Here's the oven temp. sensor for your model:
Manufacturer part number 12001656 is RepairClinic item number 1364

Here's the owners manual for your model:

Just wondering what the one i asked about would affect by not being the right one? Could it affect it not starting the self cleaning? I got this stove and the oven sensor was missing so I am just testing it with the other. I have been trying to get it in the self clean mode, will try again since you sent me the manual.

Thanks again Jake

To tell you the truth, I've never substituted a different oven temp. sensor for the original one, so your guess would be as good as mine Tag.

Jake on this model I try to get it to start the self clean mode and set the time, the display shows clean but the door never locks and after about 45 seconds the clean light goes off. Could this be caused by the wrong oven sensor I am testing it with? It seems to work on everything else.

Its possible Tag, I'm not really sure.

Here's the repair manual for this model:
