Default jen air freezer leaks water

I have a 4 years old Jen Air side by side refigerator. Lately, every few days I see puddle of water under the unit. What causes it? Can I do something about it myself?

Thanks for your help.

Hi,

Whats the model# of your refrigerator? Its located inside the refrigerator section on the upper walls or ceiling.

Thanks Jeannie,

Its likely coming from your defrost drain line.

You'll need to pull your refrigerator out from the wall, then take off the lower back access panel#21 here:

Then get a flashlight/floodlight and check your defrost drain tube#7 and make sure its sitting over your drain pan#16, and make sure your drain pan isnt cracked either.

Let us know what you find.

Jake
