Default Maytag Water Dispenser Issue, vibrating

Hello! First post here.

I have a Maytag MSD2560HEQ side by side

When I try to dispense water from the door, a loud vibrating noise comes from the behind the fridge, near the top. Water flows fast initially, then trickles.

I have tried 2 brand new filters with no change. I have checked water pressure from the wall and it is like a fire hose. I also removed the hose coming out of the valve (the one that leads to the tank) and it still does it at that location.

It seems like something is causing it in the filter area, but I cant get that assembly apart.

Any ideas? Thanks in advance!

Hi,

Please double check your model#, that one you listed doesn't pull up as good.

Your water inlet valve in the back of your refrigerator where your water supply line hooks up to is bad, I can get you the part# once you post a good model#.

I'm pretty sure I have that # right. Here is a picture for reference:

The model # may explain why its been so hard to find info on it.

wow, your correct, I don't think I've run across a model thats correct that no one has information on, I even checked Maytag's site and nothing.

I'll ask around to see if we can find why this model isn't pulling up as good anywhere.

Thats strange you cant find anything about it. Its a pretty basic model... 26 cubic ft, temperature dials inside the fridge, and buttons for ice, crushed ice, and water on the door. I can take more picture if needed.

I just tried by-passing that valve. I had water on from the wall, going through the filter, then exiting hose that normally goes to the valve in a bucket. That set up made the same noise. So maybe its not the valve?

Thanks for your help on this. I know its not an easy one.

lol, you inverted the 5 & 6 in your model# you posted in your first post, hahaa thought I was going crazy.

Then when you posted the photo of your model# tag, I still didn't see the inverted 5 & 6.

Its MSD2650HEQ.

Repair-man in this forum said it was the filter-head will need to be replaced:
Manufacturer part number 67004106 is RepairClinic item number 1070340
