Unhappy Maytag Side by side leaking

I have a Maytag side by side refrigerator/freezer
Model RSW2400CAL
Lately every week or so, we've noticed a small puddle of water on the floor on the freezer side. Inside, on the bottom of the freezer there is a thin layer (1/4") of ice.

I remover the ice. After another week or two, the same thing happens again.

I do not think it is the icemaker since I turned it off and it still happens.

Any ideas why this is happening would be much appreciated.

Hi jrc0109,

Your freezer defrost drain has clogged up on ya!

Just take the bottom freezer shelves out so you have plenty of room to work, then defrost the ice in the drain trough, and use a wire or pipe cleaner to run down the drain.
