Default Can we use old Jenn-Air ductwork for new stove?

When we built our home in 1990 we put in a Jenn-Air electric downdraft cooktop and oven. The dimensions are 30” wide by 23” deep. I don’t have a model number because they put the plate in a place where the numbers eventually wore off.

Now we need to replace the stove. Am I correct in assuming that we can reuse the old venting if we get a new 30" Jenn-Air electric range? Our old stove has the dual cartridges. For this new one I'm thinking of getting the glass cooktop.

I’m also assuming that this is the cheapest easiest solution to the problem of replacing it. Are there any other options? From what I understand any other model downdraft wouldn’t be able to use the duct work and installing a stove with a range hood would mean a major kitchen overhaul.

Hi,

I don't see why you couldn't if its that same size.

But I don't do any installs to confirm this though, sorry.

Hopefully another tech. or member that has can confirm this issue for you.

Jake
