Hi
I have read that another person has the same problem as I.My Maytag model # is :MFI2568AEB. I notice that the ice cubs were rather large, when they dropped from the ice maker into the holder they would not brake apart. Then while ice would travailing through the screw it would make laud banging and crunching sounds. My fridge does not have crushed only cubed ice.I realize that the ice maker is getting too much water so when the ice drops it dose not brake apart.I turned down the water pressure but that did not help.Is there a way of adjusting the amount of water that fills the tray?It has been like this from day one! |

I bought it two years ago,it was a scratch and dent sale from ebay.I'm sure it was a insurance claim through the guy I bought it from so there is no warranty. The fridge was never used and has never given my a problem.Just that the ice maker never really worked properly. |

Ok, then you will need a new ice maker, as there is no water fill adjustment screw that I know of on it.

Thanks for the advise Jake.
I would like to know if there is anyone that is reading this and has the same Fridge(Maytag side by side with the freezer at the bottom)with the ice maker in the fridge part not the freezer and if there ice cubes are frozen all together when they are dropped from the maker itself or they brake into individual cubes? |
