Time will tell....if we suspect a frost free problem and the heater is ok we often change both the defrost timer and defrost thermostat at the same time.
Ice in the air vents will not help the air flow!  I am surprized they didn't carry defrost timers as truck stock!?! jeff.

Now freezer knocks !!!!
After all this now my freezer knocks or ticks after it kicks in !!!!! Sounds like its coming from the back of the freezer. The last repair bill was over $150.00 bucks...............don't want to call them back again.
ANY IDEAS ???? It only knocks about 6 or 7 times and then it stops

Refrigerant flowing into the evaporator will make gurgling/popping like noises....
 This can be a common/normal occurance. jeff.

A guess...too cold in the freezer, icemaker fill tube leaking, air leak.....
