How do I bypass lid switch on my washer?
Hello,
I have a Maytag ensignia washing machine that the lid switch is not functioning properly. If I manually depress the switch, the machine will work. However, for some reason, the lid itself is not able to close the connection.
Can I just hardwire around this switch? There are five wires going into the switch. White, Black, Yellow, and 2 reds bundled together.
How do I do it?
thanks
Mack

Model Number? "Ensignia" unfortunately tells us nothing about what you actually have. Maytag usually have their model numbers on top of the control console. Once we know what machine this is, we can advise.
