I have a four year old Maytag front loading gas dryer, "commercial" size that ties my king size sheets in knots, or more accurately, rolls the two sheets together in a very, very tight tangled roll that is damp in the center. If I add the pillowcases to the load, it just buries those in the center of the tightly knotted roll. Even if I take the sheets out of the dryer part way through the drying cycle and untangle them, it will knot/roll them again. I tried a tennis ball with the sheets. Tennis ball ended up in the center of the tangled mess.
Any idea why the dryer does this? Any suggestions? |

Hi Jann,
My Admiral(Division of Maytag) dryer does this occasionally too. I was curious myself so I just searched google to see if others were having the same issue and seems everyone has this issue with balled up sheets, but I found something interesting here: Its from this site: http://ths.gardenweb.com/forums/load/laundry/msg0814475823762.html BALLED UP SHEETS-- When you take your sheets out of the washer shake them out, then fold them like you were folding them to put up(you don't have to be perfect though). Throw them in the dryer and dry as usual. See if this doesn't help. It works for me. Jake
