Maytag "Quiet" Series 300 Clean Light "absent"

I've a Maytag dishwasher, like everyone else describes, is about 2 years old ... same ol' same ol'. All lights work, 'cept at the end of the clean cycle, the light does not come on. Other than that, the dishwasher works (for whatever that's worth).

Suggestions?

Hi Ken,

Whats the model# of your Maytag? Its located inside the door on the upper tub frame or side frame.

The model # is: MDB8601AWB. As it turns out, the entire left side of the panel (type of wash) no longer light up :-). Is this a Mission-Impossible type thing where Maytag QS 300's "quietly" implode after about 2 years?

Sounds like the control panel is the bad part.
