skywalkr2 is on a distinguished road
Default Maytag wide by side (left open now issues)

It seems our freezer was left open last week for quite a while (probably overnight). Now the freezer is only getting to be about as cold as a refrigerator, and the freezer isn't cooling at all. I tried some searches and it seems like it could possibly be the coils being frozen?

I am not currently at home (on the road), but is the proper solution to pull the plug and let it sit for a day or so to completely dry out?

Please let me know, thanks.

Yes, turn it off or pull the plug on it for about 24 hours so it can reset everything and get defrosted.
