Default maytag dryer heats for only a few minutes

my dryer is model mde5500ayw and will heat for 2 or 3 minutes and continues to run but with no heat. if i stop it ,let it stand and restart it , a second or 2 you can here the dryer relay kick back in and it will stop heating like before. have already check the vent/hose and all seems ok. i did pay $365, 90 days ago and the repairman replaced the control board and it worked till there warrenty expired(90 days).if i bypass the heater relay it will heat, i tried bypassing the thermostat on the heating element and on the vent pipe and the relay will not cycle back on. so can anyone help me

If it still does the same thing, I would say your control board is malfunctioning again, very strange it would do it again.

Here's the control board for your dryer in case you need to order it:
Manufacturer's Number: 33003028

33003028

If you purchase parts from our links here and you install them and it doesn't fix the problem, you have a 30 day full refund when you return them.

OR

You can order it here and could get a Lifetime warranty on that control board, for $37 more:
p/n 33003028 Control Board

Ok, basically all dryers have either a thermistor or cycling thermostat to control the temperature in dryers.

Your model dyer will have one of these below.

A thermistor looks like this:
Manufacturer part number 307208 is RepairClinic item number 484272
307208

A cycling thermostat looks like this:
Manufacturer part number 33002567 is RepairClinic item number 791153
33002567

Its mounted on the front of your blower wheel housing #8 here:

Unplug your dryer first!

To test the thermistor you use a ohm meter and go by this chart:
Here's the thermistor chart, it works on ambient temperature:

To test the cycling thermostat you just do a continuity check on it with an ohm meter, normal would read 0 ohms.

rechecked it by holding a lighter away from it and checked it with infrared thermometer and it read 179 and the meter said less than 1 and then running the tip under cold water the scale went up almost to 8000+ if i'm reading the meter right?
