Maytag Frig - MSD2756GES:

The top of the frig side is HOT to touch. The metal plate near the lights will burn my hand.

The freezer side is OK, the fan is running and it's not iced over. I already replaced the adaptive frost controller last year. I can feel cold air blowing throw the styrofoam duct.

I'm ready to junk this POS frig

Thats odd, so when you open the refrigerator door first thing in the morning its Extremely hot up on the ceiling where the light bulbs are at?

If thats the cause, its possible the light bulb is staying on even with the refrigerator door closed.
