Default Maytag MCD2257HE5 freezer out?

Just today, it's 2 yrs old and the freezer is sweating and not working. Frig side seem to be working ok.

Also, the dig display for setting has - minus mark's and the up/down (to set) doesn't work.

Any ideas where to start..?

Hi Moon,

First unplug your refrigerator for about 5 minutes to see if everything will reset.

If that doesn't work, then its likely the jazz control board thats bad.

Its #13 here:

Here's the control board(jazz) for your model:
Manufacturer's Number: 12868513

12868513

OK.

I've done as suggested on the plug and "Yes" the display came back and the system seem to be running.

Is this something thats going to worry me till the Jazz board gets replaced ...??

It explains how to get access to that jazz control board on page 30 here:

Sounds like you got it reset, but yes the question is for how long.

Yes, its likely to do it again since it already did it once, so it would make sense to order that jazz control board.
