Default MayTag Refrigerator not circulating Air.

I have a Maytag Side by Side Refrigerator Model Number MSD2456DEB. The Refrigerator doesn't seem to be circulating any cool air. The Freezer is working fine. The Drawers in the refrigerator are also cool. But the Shelves and my groceries on the shelves are not getting cool. Any Ideas? Is There a Circulating Fan that isn't working? My manual doesnt have any pictures for maintenance so I am unsure of what it is located to see if that is the problem. Any Help would be much appreciated.

Hi,

I'd first take the food out of the freezer and check your lower back panel inside the freezer and see if you have any frost build-up on it, better yet is to remove that lower back panel of from inside your freezer and look at your evaporator coils to see, Normal would be a thin layer of frost on all the coils.

Also make sure your evaporator(freezer) fan is running, it sits above the evaporator coils.

Maytag has had a big issue with the Adaptive defrost board on these models.

This thread explains all about it:
[FIXED] Maytag Refrigerator Model MSD2756DEB is not cooling properly

Here's the Adaptive defrost board for your model:
Adaptive Defrost Control Board Part#61005988

Let me know what you find.

3 weeks ago, the ice maker wasnt working...and the coils ended up being frozen. So I thawed it out and everything work great. I just took off those panels and found it to be frozen again.. I will thaw them out again. Where does that control board go?

Yes, it sounds like your ADC board is bad.

Here's the repair manual for your model:

Page 2-14 tells you how to replace it.
