I have a Maytag Quiet Series 200 model# MDB6600AWW.

When I start a wash cycle I hear the water get into the dishwasher and when the washing should begin, I hear the motor or pump(?) but there's no "water splashing" sound and when I open the door, the heating element works because there's alot of steam but the jet elements have not rotated and there's no water on the dishes...

Yesterday I removed some plastic parts at the bottom inside the machine and the jet arm and removed some food leftover , put everything back into place and still same problem.

What's happening? Thanks!

Hi,

Sounds like either the motor is bad, or the pump impeller is broken.

Check you owners guide, you may have a 2-5 yr. pump/motor warranty on your Maytag.
