Default Jenn Air sve47600b oven problems

I looked through here and I think I have a couple of options to try to fix this thing before turkey day.
Problems....
Cooling fan comes on at 220 when baking
shortly thereafter oven goes nuts,
FC codes, alarms, door locks shut with my food held hostage until it decides to release it.
I have to trip the circuit to get it to shut off. We bought this used and I installed it myself. The venting was a tight fit under the unit but it "sucks" good and I think it is vented O.K. by the feel of the air coming out of the house. I have seen it could be the J2 harness (not sure where to find it on the oven) or the PRB? I would like to try replacing the J2 harness first and then tackle the PRB. Any thoughts and details where to locate the J2?
Thanks, before the wife kills me,
Tom

Hi,

Here's the repair manual for your model:
http://servicematters.com/maytag_lib...s/16010191.pdf

Its likely your relay board, Its located in the very back of your range. I've replaced many of these for this same issue.

Here's the relay board for your model:
Manufacturer part#12001691 is RepairClinic item#400658

If you purchase parts from our links here and you install them and it doesn't fix the problem, you have a 30 day full refund when you ship them back.

thanks Jake,

You don't think it is the J2 at all?
Is the board fairly easy to install?
I was afraid it was the $268 dollar part, but if that keeps the wife happy then so be it. I will wait to hear about the J2 harness but then I will order from you for the board and cross my fingers that it works.
Is there any chance that it is related to me installing the duct work wrong? I would hate to put a new one in and then fry it or something.
Tom

No, its not likely the J2 at all, never needed to replace that before for this issue.

Yes, the relay board is easy to install, you have to pull your range completely out to get to it, its in the very back of your range behind the relay board cover.

Just make down on paper where you remove the wires from the old board and put them in the same place on the new board.

Hate to bother you again but is there any chance that it is related to me installing the duct work wrong? I would hate to put a new one in and then fry it or something. Like I said this thing exausts good. I suppose thinking about it that is not the exhaust I hear anyway that is the cooling fan. I might have just answered my own question.

So we used the oven yesterday and it worked fine, except the cooling fan came on at 220. This is still the PRB correct. I am going to order today, just want to make sure. I know there is 30 days but I do not want to go through the hassle of returning.
Thanks,
Tom

Sorry to bother you again, but yes it worked fine and I did not replace the part yet. Just want to make sure that is how that part works when it is going bad. Work one day, goes nuts the next day. Is this how it works, like a schizo off the meds? I don't want to gamble on Thanksgiving just want to get the right thing changed out.

Ok Tom,

Intermittent problems are the hardest to diagnose, so I can't really definitely say its the relay board. Thats why all parts ordered from our links come with a 30 day full refund.

I know thats probably not the answer your looking for but I won't lie to you.
