Question Leaking Maytag top Load Washer

I bought a Maytag SAV5710AWW in 03/2004 after my whirlpool (after 14 years) started having a problem that may have been costly to fix . The Maytag just started leaking big time when the drain cycle begins and also at the spin cycle.

We checked all the hose connections and they are fine. Water is coming out of the bottom but you can't see anything.

I have to pay diagnostic charges and labor but parts will be covered unless it is the transmission.

Not sure what could be leaking - any ideas out there. I guess I should have stayed with Whirlpool. Someone else I know had the same problem.

Hi,

The transmissions are covered for 5 yrs. part only.

Your correct that the parts are covered 2 yrs. parts only.

Could be anything thats leaking, loose water hose, tub seal, water pump.

Jake
