Not draining water during SPIN cycle
Brand:
Maytag
Age:
6-10 years
I have a Maytag MAV7660 washer and the issue I'm having is that it is not draining during spin cycle in "Color" wash mode. When doing a wash in "White" mode, it drains properly. Any suggestions on what the problem can be?
I know for a fact that the following is working:
- Washer motor - its brand new, it was replaced last year (and the draining issue has been happening even before I changed the washer motor, its just now getting worse)
- water pump
- transmisison
When the washer is in Rinse and Spin mode (Color wash mode), it just ticks-ticks-ticks intill it completes the cycle.

Sounds like your timer is bad then.
There should be 3 more letters after the last "0" at the end of your model#.

Yes, sorry, the model number is MAV7600AWW.
I figured it will be the timer. Hoping it could be more mechanical.
