Gas Oven not heating
My Magic Chef model 6498vvv gas range is not heating properly. The ignitor is working and the element lights. If I set the tempature to 350, the oven gets to 250 and cycles off. The display shows no error codes. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Your thermostat may be not calibrated, or the sensor has gone bad.
Here is a link for more information on it:

You can probably go to www.maytag.com to download an user manual if you don't have yours, to help you calibrate the oven.

I don't know if this has something to do with the problem or not
Also on this range I have noticed that it takes the oven burner about two minutes to light? And should the igniter stay on even after the burner is lit?
thanks again

It should light in about 90 secs. 2 minutes may be abit long, which could mean the igniter is starting to go out.
Yes, the igniter will be on the whole time the flame is heating the oven.
